Louis Yssel was discovered whilst working at Sun City Resort as a Switchboard operator. Thereafter his unique and extraordinary talent for singing in the style of Josh Groban got him noticed by an international act, Mario Frangoulis,
who was performing at the Sun City Superbowl. Mario was so impressed with Louis’ talent, that he invited him to perform on stage and Louis gave his first professional performance. He had found his home on stage, and wowed the crowd with a truly outstanding performance! Such is the talent of this young man that where other artists spend years trying to establish a career that allows them to perform at the famous Superbowl, Louis’ debut performance was in the same venue where legends such as Freddie Mercury and Frank Sinatra have stood and enchanted audiences. There was simply no stopping this incredible talent after his first appearance. Less than a year after his Superbowl debut, he performed at the Nedbank Golf Challenge to a crowd of 1 200, the Classical Concert on the Lawns alongside Latvian soprano Endia, in the Valley of Waves on New Year’s Eve, as well as at a host of other events. Louis might be young but is no stranger to working with international acts. At the age of 19 he opened for 4 times Grammy Award winner Seal and in 2007 he opened for 9 times Grammy Award winner John Legend in the Sun City Superbowl. Louis has sung light opera and classical pieces at the Palace of the Lost City for guests including Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Tina Turner and the Royal family of Jordan, he starred in the hit show “Let there be Rock” as one of the lead vocalists, performed at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas and has already released his first album. In 2010 Louis toured the Balearic Islands of Menorca and Mallorca in with vocal group Heroes in a tribute to IL Divo. Louis kicked off a second international tour in 2011 with Ancora, a classical crossover group and toured the countries of Finland, Sweden, South Africa and Spain.
